Susan "SuZy" Wallace's Biography

Suzy Wallace was born profoundly deaf (unknown causes or probably from defective nerves) in Winston Salem, North Carolina in August 1952.

 

In 1955 Suzy’s family moved to Long Island, New York and attended the following schools:

 

  • 1955-1962: Mill Neck Manor School for Deaf
  • 1962-1966: Colorado School for Deaf
  • 1966-1968: Kendall School for Deaf.
  • 1968-1970: Maryland School for Deaf.
  • 1970-1971: Model Secondary School for Deaf.

 

Suzy graduated from Gallaudet University with a degree in Psychology in 1976. For 30 years she work as a senior Technical Information Specialist/Team Leader for Defense Technical Information Center at Fort Belvoir, VA about 35 miles from her home in Stafford, VA.

 

Suzy’s hobbies are traveling, photography, videography, web designing/developing mosaic/stained glass making, cycling, bird watching & vegetable gardening.
